Apology and Notice for Incorrect Display of Email Address

Thank you for your continued patronage of BONAVENTURA.

Recently, at 7:43pm on August 7th and 7:50pm on the same day, we sent out mass emails with the subject "BONAVENTURA After-Sales Support" to all our customers. However, we mistakenly entered all email addresses into the "To" field and sent the email, resulting in all email addresses being displayed to all recipients of the email.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by our customer's email address being displayed incorrectly.

 

If you receive this email, we ask that you delete it without opening it.

We would like to report on how this incident occurred, our response, and measures to prevent recurrence as follows.

When we sent out the "BONAVENTURA After-Sales Support" email at 7:43pm on August 7th and 7:50pm on the same day, an issue occurred where the email addresses of everyone who received the email were displayed in the recipient list.

Cause

When sending an email to multiple people at once, it is customary to hide the recipients' email addresses as "BCC" before sending the email, but we accidentally sent the email with the addresses still visible in the "To" field, and as a result, 260 email addresses were sent to the same 260 people (at 7:43pm) and 298 email addresses were sent to the same 298 people (at 7:50pm).

The only personal information leaked this time was your email address; no other registered information was leaked.

We sent an "apology for the incorrect email address being displayed" email to all 558 affected individuals at 9:50 p.m. on August 7th.

· Measures to prevent recurrence

This incident was caused by human error and inadequate checking systems.

We will review the personal information protection policy with all employees and provide thorough in-house training. In addition, we will ensure that the person in charge of delivery and the person in charge of management check the messages before sending them.
