In addition to the softness of the calfskin, the shrink processing makes it highly durable. If it has minor scratches, the shrink process will restore it to its original plumpness.
A coating is applied during the leather tanning process, resulting in a smooth yet strong final product that can withstand harsh environmental and weather conditions. It can also be disinfected with alcohol.
